Overview
Join us for guidance through the immortelle plantation and learn about the processes of growing, picking, distilling immortelle and producing essential oil and immortelle hydrolate, as well as its wide range of use in everyday life.
The ecological immortelle farm is located in the municipality of Omišalj, above the Voz bay, and covers an area of 80,000 m2 and includes about 360,000 immortelle seedlings. This plant, which gained its popularity in the time of the Romans, flourished in the 90s, when it began to be used more and more in the cosmetic, pharmaceutical and perfume industry.
The visit to the local immortelle plantation consists of three parts and includes a presentation about the plantation itself and familiarization with the processes of growing, picking, distilling and product use. The presentation takes place in the distillery, followed by a tour of the plantation itself and the historical location of Kapelica, famous for the battle between Caesar's and Pompey's soldiers from 49 BC. You will also have the opportunity to test and buy immortelle products directly at the plantation.
We especially recommend visiting the plantation during the flowering period, when the plantation takes on a golden-yellow colour and the intensity of the fragrance is at its peak. After visiting the plantation, we definitely recommend that you go down to Voz bay, swim on the nearby beach and enjoy the view of Krčki most.
